Professional Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and have a background in community mental health assisting individuals in crisis as well as working with young individuals with psychosis and acute mental health conditions. I have experience working with individuals from adolescence to the elderly and am comfortable working with couples and groups alike. I am trained in various modalities including motivational interviewing, CBT, CBTp, DBT, and solution focused therapy. I am also currently a Level 1 certified Gottman Method couples therapist.

My Philosophy

I believe trust and the therapeutic relationship are the most important factors in helping make meaningful and lasting changes. By bringing my whole self to each session and incorporating humor, empathy, challenging questions and supportive feedback, I help individuals identify the positive aspects of their lives even when that feels daunting. The more we’re able to teach ourselves to identify what we’re doing well, the easier it can be to change negative and distorted thinking patterns. Ultimately, I love working in a variety of settings with diverse individuals who are seeking support and change. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space during our time together and if this resonates with you, please reach out.
